Hasta la Vista?

There has been lots of fuzz lately around whether IBM will move away from Windows (and not use Vista at all) and instead completely switch to Linux for desktop clients used internally.

IBMeye has an article on the subject that clarifies a lot on what IBM is doing with Windows and Linux.

I will not comment on the rumours but I can add that I run the internal IBM customized Windows XP as my primary desktop client on my Thinkpad T40 and that I also run the IBM customized Linux desktop client.

Innovation

A video has been posted on ibm.com where IBM’s Andy Stanford-Clark talks about innovation. The video shows some interesting ways on discovering innovative solutions to customer problems.

Welcome

I am Per Henrik Lausten from Denmark, an IT Architect within IBM Business Consulting Services working with Lotus Notes and Domino. I have been working with Lotus Notes/Domino since 1997 (starting with release 3.3) primarily as an application developer but also as system administrator. Since 2005 I have been trying to use my knowledge of Domino in the IT Architect field.

I have been a certified application developer since Lotus Notes R4.5 and I am currently an “IBM Certified Advanced Application Developer – Lotus Notes and Domino 6/6.5” and have plans to upgrade my certification to release 7.

I plan to blog about Lotus Notes and Domino, IT Architecture, technology and other IT related stuff that I find interesting in both my professional life as an IT Architect at IBM and in my personal life.

Thank you for visiting – hope to see you soon!
