As usual Lotusphere comes to you and visits major cities all over the world – including Copenhagen on March 3rd. So if you did not attend Lotusphere 2008 then here is your chance to see and hear some of the highlights!

I have previously blogged about the release of the free WebSphere Application Server Community Edition 2.0. Now a draft Redbook called “WebSphere Application Server Community Edition 2.0 User Guide” is available for administrators and developers interested in the basics of using WebSphere Application Server Community Edition V2 to run applications.

Ed Brill hinted that we would see 8 announcements in the Lotusphere 2008 Opening General Session – we actually saw 8+1: Lotus Notes 8.0.1 “My Widgets” support Lotus Domino 8.5 Lotus Domino Designer in Eclipse coming in 8.5 new application development tools in Lotus Domino Designer 8.5 (xPages etc) Project “Atlantic” Lotus Protector for Mail [...]

Once again it is possible to be part of Lotusphere by visiting the virtual Lotusphere in Second Life. Hopefully people attending and people not attending will drop by from time to time in the virtual Lotusphere.

Enjoy Lotusphere 2008 – and the 8 wonders! Unfortunately I am not going. I hope to be part of the show next year.

According to AP Lotus Notes email will be available on the Apple iPhone and the Apple iPod Touch devices. Look out for the formal announcement at Lotusphere 2008 – that starts Sunday this week. [Via Ed Brill and many others ] Update January 17: The story is now on Mac Rumors.
